CS-141: Introduction to Programming

This page is a summary of the general links that appear in the weekly lecture notes. They will be added over the course of the semester.

Labrat: Accessing the jdk - (need to look these up - not quite right yet!)
- If you are on a Mac, you want to select: Library\Java\JavaVirtualMachines\jdk1.7.0_25\Content\...
- If you are on a PC, you want to select: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_25
To access the shared network drive called CS141, you need to do the following:
- On Windows: click on the Computer icon on the desktop, and click on "Map Network Drive". Select any unused drive, and enter \\groupfiles.willamette.edu\workspace\CS141 in the Folder textbox. Click Finish.
- On the Mac: Click on the icon "Connect to your Willamette Home Drive" and log in. Go to the menu at top and select "Go->Connect to Server...". Enter smb://groupfiles.willamette.edu/workspace/CS141

Netbeans is the programming environment we will be using.
You may download Netbeans for free. We recommended that you download the Netbeans bundle which comes with the latest Java Development Kit.

To run LabRat on a Mac computer, you may also need to download the Java Runtime Environment
