Research Presentation Specification
CS 495: Senior Seminar,
Fall 2009
Rational
- You may have the greatest idea in history but if you can't communicate the idea to others (peers, teachers, students, colleagues, the public, etc)
then your idea is useless.
- Giving a good presentation is harder than you think. Preparation and practice are necessary.
Requirements
- This will be a public presentation at the computer science tea during the last week of the fall semester.
Expect other students and faculty to be present.
- Length: 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions.
- The presentation will report the results of your survey paper and describe your proposed project.
You can't include everything in 20 minutes so it is important to identify the key ideas and goals. You need
to carefully consider the background and expectations of your audience.
