IDS 252: Topics for the Week of December 7, 2009

• Continue work on Lab 8: Animation Production.
  Reminder:

  • Deliverables are described here. These include:
    • For the Group: 1) Group Reflections, 2) Presentation, and 3) DVD
    • For the Individual: 1) Individual Evaluation (your confidential evaluation of each member in the group, including yourself)
  • The final presentations will be Thursday, Dec 17, 8:30-11am in Ford 122 (the theater). Everything else should be turned in no later than noon that day.

• Tuesday in class:

  • We will offer feedback to any group wanting it. Otherwise we will work in the lab.

• Tuesday in lab:

  • Continue to work on lighting, shading, texturing, and special effects.

• Thursday in class:

  • This is the final critique before the presentations! Everything should pretty much be done. Each group should have a quicktime containing the very latest frames.
  • A brief recap of technical or esthetic issues that arose over the last week.
  • Everyone submits their last status report which should be sent to the group mailgroup. See Projects Page for mailgroup addresses.

• Thursday in lab:

  • Work on any remaining details.
  • Final animations need to be given to musicians in time for them to add music. Remember, a separate version of the animation is needed for each musician (music and credits will be different)

• Homework: Get ready for presentations on Thursday!!
