Microscope Slide Labels
Members of the Duncan Lab perform immunohistochemistry and whole mount of many different drosophila tissues. maintaining a clearly labelled and organized collection of prepared slides is critical to our work. We have developed a cheap and effective protocol for making slide labels

1.We create our Microscope Slide Labels using Avery Return Address Labels (Avery Template 5155). These Easy Peel Labels can be purchased in sheets of 60 labels/sheet and printed using Microsoft Word and any standard InkJet/LaserJet Printer.

2.An Avery Return Address Label Template formatted for the creation of Microscope Slide Labels can be downloaded here - Microscope Slide Label Template.docx.

3.Open the Microscopy Slide Label Template in Word and add appropriate text and/or color coding of labels specific for your slides to facilitate easy identification.

4.Print out labels.

5.Peel and cut label to appropriate size and append to your microscope slide.
