Data Management with SQL

General Information

Welcome to DATA 351: Data Management with SQL! This is my personal website, and will be the main location where I post things throughout the semester. Anything posted elsewhere will be clearly indicated and announced in class! In general this should be your one-stop-shop for everything class related.

Syllabus

If you need a quick reference or review, you can find my syllabus here:

Syllabus

The Book

We will be using this semester is Practical SQL: A Beginner’s Guide to Storytelling with Data by Anthony DeBarros. The 2nd edition is the most recent version, and definitely has some improvements, but either the 1st or 2nd edition would work well.

Homework

We will be using GitHub Classroom this semester for managing and submitting homework. Each assignment guide will have a link near the top where you can accept the assignment through GitHub Classroom. Assignments will be posted below as they become available.

Class Slides

I will always posted the slides we covered in class here after lecture for your reference. Lecture recordings are also included, and the password can be found in Canvas or on Discord.

Semester Schedule

As well as being on the Syllabus, you can see a nicer copy of the semester schedule at the link below. If there are large changes this is the schedule I’ll try to keep up to date!
