Scenes from our hike up towards Needle Point. This trail crosses the island. After passing through backyards, the trail ascends into a rain forest (or at least a rainy forest). Throughout our hike, our ears were filled with the sound of running water and unfamiliar bird calls. The trail skirts the edge of a creek which is the source of local drinking water. There are many signs imploring hikers not to compromise this water source. |
