Monday Crits: What will be expected:
- Do not show up with the same storyreel you showed last time! Update storyreel to
- Reflect feedback from class
- Improve timing
- Refine camera angles
- Refine cuts, shots, etc
- Reflect new information based on your research
- Discuss your background research! Dig deeper into your stories - watch king kong, read all the variations of rapunzel,
watch the movie Tangled,
read about steroids, how do boys play, what happens during battle at sea, watch boxing fights, watch Cheers (or any bar scene show)
- Show your Concept/Reference material
- Gather pictures which could be example environments, e.g. cities, boxing rings, ships at sea, boy's rooms, towers, bars,
apartments of poor, depressed people, clothing that gawky people wear, etc
- Gather pictures of specific objects or characters
- Gather picutres illustrating the look and feel - what is the color scheme, lighting scheme (color, contrast, etc),
atmosphere, time of day, season, ....
- Discuss Story check list.
- We will do status reports - this will take 10 minutes of class time.
Wed & Fri:
- Create a Maya project. Remember, keep your scene files organized as you work. Have objects been named? Are objects grouped appropriately?

- Prop & Scene Modeling
- Animatics - you can start this if character modeling is basically complete and environment layout is decided.
Expectations for the week after break:
- Monday Critiques (Mar 31)- Each group member will present the work they have done on one or more of the following:
- character modeling (should be done by end of week - Apr 4)
- prop & scene modeling (should be done by end of week - Apr 4)
- animatics (should be done by Apr 11)
- submit status reports.
