  • Read Chapter 4.1 and 4.2: Loops
  • Do the online WileyPlus Chapter 4 Reading Quiz, Part 1.

• due Mon evening, Sept 16 at 10pm:

  • Do WileyPlus Chp 3 Programming assignment.

• due Fri morning, Sept 20 by 10am:

  • Finish reading Chapter 4
  • Do the online WileyPlus Chapter 4 Reading Quiz, Part 2.
  • Programming problem: Expert System
    • Submit the java code on Wise - see Wise for instructions on how to submit.
    • In lab, please bring a copy of your decision tree. You will exchange trees with a partner and fill out the Software Testing Form.
    • Note, indentation and comments in your code are VERY important for this lab if your code is to be readable.

• Mon, Sept 23:

  • (Not to turn in) You should easily be able to do the basic loop problems below. If you have any difficulties, it is important that you ask for help!!
    • Basic Looping Problems (pdf)
    • Nested Loop Problems (pdf)

• due Wed morning, Sept 25 at 10am:

  • Read Chapter 5.1 - 5.3: Methods
  • Do the online WileyPlus Chapter 5 Reading Quiz, Part 1.

• due Wed, Sept 25 at 10pm:

  • Do WileyPlus Chp 4 Programming assignment.
    On problem 4.102 be careful - you need to consider what happens when you take the mod of a negative number!
  • (Not to turn in) By now, you should have completed A BlackJack Game Program: Part 1 Loops. Part 1 will not be collected but will serve as the starting point for Part 2 (Part 2 WILL be collected). If you have trouble completing Part 1, it is very important that you ask for help.
