CS343: Analysis of Algorithms

• Tues: Go over remaining chapter 1 problems (4, 8).
• Thurs: Go over initial chapter 2 problems (1,3,4).
• Continue discussion of complexity.
• Resources:
  • Asymptotic Complexity (pdf): Definitions and limit theorems.
  • A few common summations (pdf).
  • The Master Theorem (pdf) for solving recurrences. We will discuss this in detail when we get to the chanpter on divide & conquer.
